Woody's Walk | Thank you just isn't enough.
Thank you just isn’t enough.

Councillor Mike Steevens was approached by a local resident Karsten Waller who gave the initial idea, in conjunction with Ryan Brudenell who between them came up with a design plan. They worked tirelessly on this project to include getting the sponsorship donations together by approaching successful local business people he knows through working as a taxi driver for nearly 30 years together.
'' I had the biggest surprise this morning. I was working in my office when Samuel Hawkins and the children from Woodley Primary School came in and asked me to come outside. I originally thought I was on a fastball school assembly appearance but then I seen so many people from the Whitehill & Bordon Community around the NEW mural of remembrance ‘Woody’s Walk’. As I walked out of the building everyone started cheering and then I seen Ben Shepard smiling. I still didn’t really know what was going on. Then I seen the artwork from the most talented Ryan Brudenell that reduced me to tears ''.
The mural which is on 3 walls, is located at the underpass opposite Café 1759

We have an incredible community and I’m proud to come from Bordon.
Sunday I start another journey of remembrance. This time I will be running 917 miles no less than 26.2 miles per day. (The .2 miles each day is for our late Queen). I’m commemorating those who never made it home from the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan.
