Raising £20,000 for WWTW

On the 1st November 2021 Brian Wood MC will pay tribute to our fallen from the Iraq and Afghanistan conflict by running a minimum of 26 miles per day for 25 days- a total of 635 miles!

Starting from a different Military barracks in the South each day, Brian is dedicating every mile to each individual that lost their life during the conflict. Anyone wishing to support Brian in this epic challenge is welcome to join him in running as much or as little as they can or by donating to the Walking With The Wounded charity, for which he is hoping to raise £20,000.

WHO ARE WALKING WITH THE WOUNDED:

WWTW supports disadvantaged veterans who have served in the Armed Forces and their families, empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities. We have adapted and we continue to support our ex-service community during this difficult time. WWTW has worked in partnership with the NHS for many years and during this period we will continue those partnerships to respond wherever possible to support our incredible NHS.

Walking With The Wounded is registered as a charity in England and Wales, number 1153497 and Scotland, number SC047760

Brian has set out his planned routes on each day of the challenge, leaving each day from a British Army Barracks. More details will be made available through Brians Social Media Channels, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIN.

Without a doubt, this is a challenge not to be underestimated. Brian has previously completed marathons and cross country charity events in support of veterans and his former regiment - the PWRR. When asked how he was feeling about the challenge, Brian responded both positively and focused,

'' I constantly remind myself why i am doing this when i'm fully in the hurt locker '

Brian went on to say, ' It's solid graft on my body but i need to put the hard work in so i can represent the 635 that have fallen'.

You can help support this incredible cause by giving what you can. Brian's progress will be monitored through social media and the WWTW website.
