The Ultimate Sacrifice Challenge 2.0[22]
35 Marathons in 35 Days.

RELOADED AND READY TO GO
After 2021's monumental effort and raising over £168,000 for charity Brian Wood is once again running a marathon a day for those fallen in conflict hoping to raise a total of £250,000.
Starting on
2nd October 2022, with the London Marathon, Brian will run a total of 35 Marathons, over 35 days, to commemorate the increasing number of lives lost in conflict. Brian is running a total of 917 miles for the British lives lost in the Falklands, Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts.
”I constantly remind myself why I am doing this when I’m fully in the hurt locker.”
BRIAN WOOD MC
He will be running with 26 new names on his shirt each day - each mile representing a life lost. The additional 0.2 miles over 35 days is dedicated to the late HM Queen Elizabeth II as a thank you for her service to our great nation.
Walking With The Wounded
Walking With The Wounded supports disadvantaged veterans who have served in the Armed Forces and their families, empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities. We have adapted and we continue to support our ex-service community during this difficult time. WWTW has worked in partnership with the NHS for many years and during this period we will continue those partnerships to respond wherever possible to support our incredible NHS.
FILMING THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE
Brian’s challenge is being filmed and may be released on both social and national networks. From time to time there may also be news crews filming.
If you turn up to run or cheer Brian through his challenge, be aware that you may be on film at any point during his challenge. It is your responsibility to be clear of cameras / crews if you do not wish to be filmed.
Any and all support is greatly received.
